Movie Expo

As an international centre for film production, Canada is a diverse and talent-rich nation that has an insatiable thirst for more opportunities. The Movie Expo exists to connect Canadian filmmaking talent to the world stage. This is why we are bringing the same opportunities from Hollywood to the north.

Our show is one of a kind. We believe in providing a world-class exhibition and film screenings, by facilitating global connections, and supporting film industry trends and standards. Open to the public and industry professionals, there’s something for everyone to learn, discover the behind the scenes magic at The Movie Expo. GLOBAL FASHION COLLECTIVE (GFC)
Founded by Jamal Abdourahman in 2017. Global Fashion Collectives initially launched Vancouver Fashion Week in 2001. Global Fashion Collective’s vision was to create a platform specializing in supporting creative designers by establishing their presence around the world. GFC produces exclusive runway showcases in six (6)diverse fashion capitals across the globe, including:  Vancouver Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, Tokyo Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, and London Fashion Week. The winner of Miss Asia Canada each year will have the opportunity to travel and model in one of these Fashion Weeks.

 

Vancouver Fashion Week

At the heart of Vancouver Fashion Week is a commitment to inclusion.
VFW showcases local, Canadian and international designers. Emerging labels, established designers, haute couture craftsmanship and avante garde creations all share the runway.Since its inception, VFW has offered designers the opportunity to work with models of all skin tones, genders, sizes and heights. The diversity of bodies that walk the shows is captivating. All of this is done with an eye to the inclusion of Vancouver as one of the fashion capitals of the world.

 

NAAAP Toronto

NAAAP Toronto is a non-profit association and a Canadian Chapter of NAAAP with over 28 city branches in an International network that spans across the US, Canada and China. Driven by volunteer effort combined with broad based professional peer group collaboration, NAAAP Toronto is dedicated to fostering leadership, career advancement, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
